Pre-work
In this project, we were assigned to find a problem, research it, and find\make a solution. This process began with brainstorming problems we thought were relevant and important. Some of those problems were overpopulation, resources, and population. then we got the idea to build a helmet that was bulletproof and helped prevent concussions in the military people who are on the front lines.
Building
The next part of our process in this project was to take dimensions for the model of our helmet. Since I had the biggest head, we used mine. The first layer of the model was aluminum foil wrapped over my whole head. To stabilize the foil, we then applied many layers of duct tape. Once we finished the basic frame of the helmet, we cut a hole to put ski goggles inside. Then to strengthen the helmet even more we put lines of copper all around the outside. To the outside of the copper we put more duct tape on top. The final step of the helmet was putting padding on the inside. After that, we we're done with building our model.
Research
My group researched the number of concussions, brain injuries, and head traumas in the military and some in the NFL.
concepts
In this project, there weren't many concepts. A possible concept that I learned was that some materials are more expensive than I originally thought. But there weren't many concepts pertaining to physics.

reflection
From this project, I really enjoyed working with my group and how well we all worked. A very big problem we had encountered was our time management skills, and focus issues. This affected us greatly when we spent much of our time initially constructing our helmet. The majority of the total working time given was intended to be for researching our problem. This left us a smaller amount of time that we needed to research. Even though we still got the project done well. I think we had a very interesting and challenging project and problem. I was very pleased with our final product and presentation. Some improvements we could have made if we did this project again, would be to dedicate more time to the purpose of the project. Which was researching the problem. Two things that i learned about myself is that i work well with the people who were in my group and i really know now that i care about the wounded veterans and now i really want to help them.
